Karis & Jessie

Love is most definitely an adventure and these two have been through one hell of a ride. Karis and Jessie’s wedding day is a celebration of their love and commitment to each other like few have endured. And, this wedding is what everyone lovingly referred to as Wedding 2.0.

Days after I met Karis and Jessie I received a message from Jessie that Karis had been diagnosed with cancer…what?! Devastating news to say the least when you were looking forward to the start of so much happiness together.

They decided to have a small intimate ceremony with their very closest family and friends and get to tackling Karis’ road to recovery head-on.

I won’t even pretend to understand all that they have been through over the last year. They certainly put the vows “in sickness and in health” to the test! I do know that they have endured more than most couples will in a lifetime of marriage, they clung to each other, they cared for each other, and together they have made it through the other side.

A Dream Wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch

This time around was a celebration on a whole other level! Wedding 2.0. Karis and Jessie’s wedding day was a celebration of the purest form of love and commitment. Inspired by the joyful and bright colors of Jessie’s Mexican heritage, Prosecco Weddings and Events gave them the day they’d been dreaming of. Their beautiful summer wedding took place at Pecan Springs Ranch nestled under a beautiful canopy of oak trees. The florals were done by the magic and artistry of The Flower Girl.

It was a perfect day surrounded by all of their family and friends this time around. The love for these two special people was palpable. If you know Jessie and Karis, you’re a lucky one.

Pecan Springs Ranch Wedding Reception

The couple and all their guests joined in an evening of good food catered by Matt’s El Rancho. An Austin Mariachi band played for the crowd while everyone dined. The night was followed up with tearful and touching toasts, dancing, and a pinata for the kids to indulge on candy.
