Starting is the hardest part of anything – cleaning the kitchen, exercising, writing a book,  a song, or the first line of an email.

The hardest part is putting pen to paper and  jotting down ideas. It’s committing to sitting down and writing that book outline, blog post, or business plan.

The hardest part is the day you finally stop talking about it and take action. Believe me, I’m guilty of all of the above.

For quite a while I’ve wanted to commit to more blogging. I’ve wanted to share more “me” with all of you.

I want to share the things I’ve learned, the things I love, the things I’m working on, the things I’m struggling with.

This little business of mine has allowed me to create  a community with women just like me…united in motherhood. We’re doing the best we can to get through the days and those sometimes long nights.

Why haven’t I started?

Fear.

Fear I have nothing interesting to say. Fear no one will care. Fear no one will read.

Well, today is the day I push past fear. I will push past the uncomfortable feeling that creeps in when we leave our comfort zone.

This time I will not run for shelter.

Sometimes when we are dealing with our goals, aspirations, and dreams we just need to sit down and give ourselves a little pep talk and a dose of compassion.

So what if we don’t get it right the first try.

It is up to us to make our goals a reality. Unfortunately, dreams don’t come true simply because we want them to.

It’s all about our actions.

It’s time to stop dreaming about what we want and take action.

It’s not easy. Find comfort in knowing that starting is the hardest part.
