The Sparkes Family Miracle

In late April I was contacted by Kristine inquiring about a pregnancy announcement session. She wrote a very emotional email to me with the backstory of their long journey with infertility. Most of you know that I spent many years as a practicing Labor and Delivery nurse. But, what you don’t know, is that I had a few years in there that I was the nurse for a very busy infertility doctor. I got to experience first hand the heartbreak and joy of infertility. The longing to have a baby so badly. The fact that so many women, including myself, take for granted the gift of never struggling to become pregnant. I instantly felt connected to her and was so drawn to her through her words and the struggle she openly shared with me. I was honored to be asked to document the news for them to share with their family and friends.

In her words, “Mike and I often wondered if we would ever be able to make this announcement again, but with God’s grace and his favor upon us we are so happy to announce WE ARE 14 WEEKS PREGNANT!!!!

Our Story: For the past several years Mike and I have been trying to have another baby. Mike has spent countless nights holding me as I cried my eyes out longing for another baby. BUT GLORY TO GOD after countless prayers, 5 rounds of fertility treatments, 2 rounds of IVF, our dreams are coming true again!
In February we transferred 2 babies a boy and a girl. At our first ultrasound we had 2 little heartbeats, it was the perfect day! Sadly, at our next ultrasound, we were told one of our babies had not grown since the previous appointment and no longer had a heartbeat. We left with mixed emotions. Our hearts were broke we no longer had both babies with us, but still joyous God was allowing the one baby to thrive and grow perfectly.
Our little miracle baby is still thriving perfectly today, and we cannot wait to find out if God is adding a sweet little boy or girl to our family.
