Austin, Texas and the surrounding area has quickly become a wedding capital. This quirky, cool, and unique city located in the heart of Texas boasts an array of unique wedding venues for every couple with every aesthetic and personality.
Today I’m sharing my four of my favorite European-inspired wedding venues in Austin.
Yep, right in the city known as the live music capital, the land of cowboy boots, and the best BBQ, there are wedding venues that will transport you Europe.
Located just northwest of Austin, you’ll be transported to another time and place with the old-world elegance of this wedding venue. Villa Antonia is full of old-world charm. The romantic Italian-style villa sits in the middle of the Texas hill country with 360-degree views of the Texas landscape. Originally built in 1999 by Antonia Sharp, it was her dream home. The property is adorned with a romantic rose garden, meandering stone pathways, waterfalls, stone archways, and magnificent balconies that overlook the canyon. Antonia’s admiration of the natural beauty that surrounds the venue, all of the stone archways and walls were excavated from the side of the canyon where the large fountain now sits.

This historic chic landmark with lakeside views, Laguna Gloria, is the perfect location for your beautiful wedding. Located just outside of downtown Austin, you’ll feel like you’ve been whisked away to a European wonderland. If you’ve got your heart set on an Italian theme wedding, don’t pass up this Italian Driscoll-style villa for your intimate I-do’s.

Ma Maison is a fabulous French charmer snuggled in the Texas Hill country. French for “my house” Ma Maison is a wedding venue like no other. The estate sits on 23 acres in the beautiful wine country found just outside of Austin, Texas in Dripping Springs. The venue is surrounded by vineyards, is home to countless oak trees, gardens, and a beautiful lake. The wedding venue boasts several outdoor locations to say, “I do.” Choose from lakefront property, the oak grove, or the infamous green cathedral. The green cathedral is a restored French gazebo and the most recognizably photographed piece of art on the property.

Last but not least is the nationally acclaimed Camp Lucy, also located in Dripping Springs, Texas. Camp Lucy is the place where the Texas Hill country meets French-Colonial style. The unique property includes a 1880s French Colonial Catholic church “imported – piece by piece – from Vietnam. as well as a 1930s French Colonial church reconstructed at Camp Lucy and roofed with 1920s Ludowici tile repurposed from the Bexar County Courthouse in downtown San Antonio.”
Ian’s Chapel is the original venue at Camp Lucy, a brilliantly restored 1930’s French Colonial chapel. The roof was redone with 1920’s Ludowici tile recycled from the Bexar County Courthouse in San Antonio.
The spectacular venue features the French-inspired charm of an old-world brick-paved courtyard, a stone arch and terrace, and a lush lawn. Every nook and cranny of this European-inspired Austin wedding is picture perfect!
