Time. It doesn’t stand still for any of us.

When I was young, I would often try to hit the fast forward button on my life.

I couldn’t wait for the holidays, my birthday, or that family vacation.

When my children were young, I had days of pure exhaustion and wishing for them to hurry up and fly by.

Now that my children are older I have realized I wasn’t always present in the moment. Days went by that I was not engaged in the life right in front of me.

I found myself looking for ways to be present in my life. Along that journey I discovered the concept of gratitude and my camera.

 I try to remember to give thanks for what I have and the beauty around me. I love the way the morning light pours through the windows early in the morning. The start of a new day. I love morning.

My camera became a way to record and remember the life happening all around me for myself, my family, and my clients.

These images are a journal of our life, capturing and savoring it through snippets in time.

They document the moments, our memories, and our presence here on earth.

Our babies grow so fast.

Those long sleepless nights of the newborn stage seem endless in the moment. We will never change as much as we do in that first year.

Before you know it  your little is cooing, laughing, babbling, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, and walking.

There is so much change in that first year. Let me help you remember it, reflect on it, and document it forever.

This is Grant. It truly feels like yesterday he was in my studio and we were documenting his first days on earth. You can view his newborn session here.
