An Elegant Engagement Session In The Texas Hill Country

Claire and Parker

We documented Claire and Parker’s love story on their private property for their San Antonio engagement photos. There are many outdoor engagement photo locations in the San Antonio area but this was the perfect location for them to be alone and feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I love it when my couples bring me to wonderful places and beautiful spots. One of the most important things you can look for in an experienced photographer is the ability to walk into any new spots for the first time and create memorable moments and beautiful images. This was a perfect place with wooded pathways, tall trees, and open fields. We were able to capture a variety of photos during their engagement shoot. It’s hard to choose but I think the big open field was my favorite spot. It was a hidden gem and felt like Texas. This is at the top of my list of favorite places to have an engagement session in San Antonio.

Claire and Parker’s Engagement Story

The Proposal

“We took a weekend trip to New Mexico and camped out with all three dogs at a friend’s piece of property in Cloudcroft. We took a day trip, with all three dogs to Ruidoso on Saturday and ended in White Sands New Mexico. It’s an AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL place. Of course, you are not supposed to let the dogs off leash, and Parker did … which stressed me out worrying about them! We brought wine and charcuterie snacks and were planning to stick around and watch the sunset on one of the mounds. We’ve done this once before, so I wasn’t really expecting anything. The dogs spilled the wine, and a strange rain cloud came over us out of nowhere and poured on us for 15 minutes – blankets soaked, and hair stuck to my face, I was trying to wrangle dogs! But, for some reason, Parker still wanted to stick around! Next thing you know he said ” Oh wow, Huck has gone really far” and I looked over worried trying to find him with my eyes. When I turned around Parker was down on his knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him!” – Claire

We had a great time in the Texas Hill Country with the happy couple! I can’t wait for their big day at Sendera Springs with their talented wedding planner Lila Lane Events!
