Sarah and Eric’s elegant Mattie’s At Green Pastures wedding was full of joy! After postponing their wedding an entire year due to COVID-19 and having a venue change from the original plan, Sarah and Eric finally had the wedding of their dreams! It was a dreamy day for sure!

Sarah and Eric’s Love Story

Sarah and Eric met in college at George Washington University in DC. through a mutual friend. They went out for the first time together to a fraternity formal for Eric’s fraternity at the Newseum in DC.

Their perfect date night includes dinner with nice cocktails or margaritas and then going to a country concert outside. They are both big dog lovers and they have a field-bred English cocker spaniel named Millie. Of course, the day would not have been complete without including Mille! Their favorite thing to do on the weekend is to take Millie around Austin/Hill Country – town lake, auditorium shores, enjoy the Austin live music, and eat BBQ! Eric is famous for loving BBQ and filling his Instagram feed with all the yummy food he eats. His best man and brother couldn’t pass up a good humorous dig about that during his speech!

The Wedding

Their wedding day could not have been more perfect. There was rain in the forecast for days leading up to their wedding. Sarah watched the weather like a hawk and prayed the weather would clear up for the lush outdoor garden wedding she’d been dreaming of. Well, her wish came true! The day was sunshine and blue skies all day!

The ceremony space was lined with lush Delphinium that appeared to be growing out of the ground. She made her entrance down the aisle to Eric on a bed of white scattered rose petals! DREAMY!!!

After the ceremony, they gathered on the lawn and under the covered tent at Mattie’s for laughter and cocktails with their guests. The seated dinner reception was intimate and cozy with beautiful florals adorning the tables and lots of sparkling candlelight.

After dinner, they danced the night away to the live music of The Buck Wild Band! I had so many favorite moments from the day but I loved Sarah dancing with her grandfather most of all! I mean, the joy on his face was everything!!!

Congratulations, Sarah and Eric! It was incredible and we wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together!
