San Francisco to Destination Unknown

Whew! I’m finally getting around to sharing some travel photos from our trip to California.

Dan and I had a brief few days in September before the kick-off of our fall wedding season, so we booked two plane tickets to California. We had our California dreamin’ trip with the wind in our hair and cameras in our hands. Beyond landing in San Francisco, we literally had NO PLANS!!! Ok, we had one plan…to get a rental car and started driving. That was it. Our goal was to travel south from San Francisco along the Pacific Coast Highway. We stopped when we wanted to and stayed as long or as little as we wanted. The only thing we knew we had to do was get back to San Fran in 4 days to catch the red-eye home. In truth, it was the best vacation!!

We landed in San Francisco four hours later than expected, but we hoped in our rental car and made it to the Golden Gate Bridge just in time for the epic sunset! Everything works out.

For four days, we traveled south along the Pacific Coast Highway, making our way to Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, and downward toward Santa Barbara.

Along the way, we stopped to take in the majestic views, ate some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth, and sipped some pretty incredible wine!
