Austin Bridal Portraits

Now that this beautiful lady is officially a married woman I can release her bridal portraits into the world. I think keeping bridal photos locked in a vault until the wedding day is the hardest part. I feel like I’m keeping the world’s best secret!

We did Taylor’s Austin bridal portraits at her wedding venue. I’ve photographed almost a dozen beautiful weddings at Hayes Hollow at Hidden Falls and it looks magical any time of the year. We had the best Texas fall weather for Taylor’s Austin bridal portraits.

Fun fact, her sweet fur baby Paisley joined in on the fun! If you’re wondering…fur babies are always welcome!

 Why Do Bridal Portraits?

Hair and Makeup Trial.

A bridal session is the best way to trial your hair and makeup before the big day. Make an appointment and enjoy the day. It’s also a great time to get your nails done. Your hands will definitely be on display for your portraits. I mean, we want to see the ring bling! You can see the whole look put together and decide if any changes need to be made.

Another Chance to Wear Your Dress.

That’s right! Put your dream dress on and wear it more than once.

Display A Portrait at the Reception.

Bridal Portraits might just be a southern thing but it’s very common to print one large and display it in a gorgeous custom frame.

A Bouquet Trial.

Yep! Ask your florist to mockup up a bridal bouquet similar to the wedding day. Now you can see the entire look come together. You’ll be able to let your florist know if there are any changes you would like to make.

Make It a Fun Girls Day.

Sometimes it’s nice to have some extra support. Bring your mom, maid of honor, best girlfriend to help you get dressed and fluff your dress. Make a fun day of it!

When Do You Do Bridal Portraits?

Typically, they are done as soon as the final dress alterations are completed. Many of my brides have their sessions the month leading up to the wedding date.
