As a wedding photographer who frequently captures celebrations at The Chandelier of Gruene, I was thrilled to document Catherine and Reuben’s romantic spring-inspired wedding day. Their February celebration perfectly embodied the venue’s signature blend of rustic elegance and modern charm, with a color palette that sang of spring’s arrival in the heart of Texas Hill Country.
Nestled in the historic town of New Braunfels, The Chandelier of Gruene provided an absolutely stunning backdrop for Catherine and Reuben’s special day. The venue’s iconic open-air chapel, with its rustic elegance and natural lighting, created the perfect setting for their heartfelt ceremony. As a San Antonio wedding photographer, I’m always amazed by how this venue manages to capture both intimacy and grandeur in such a unique way.
The couple’s vision came to life through a sophisticated palette of rose and pink hues, artfully accented with touches of gold and olive green. This thoughtful color combination brought a fresh, romantic atmosphere to every detail of their celebration. From the bridesmaids’ dresses to the table settings, each element worked in harmony to create a cohesive and visually stunning experience.
The talented Emily Reynolds Design outdid herself with the floral arrangements that adorned every corner of the venue. Her artistic vision perfectly complemented the spring-inspired theme, featuring lush bouquets and elegant centerpieces that incorporated the day’s color palette. The way she balanced delicate roses with touches of greenery created depth and movement throughout the space.
The February sunshine blessed us with perfect lighting conditions for photography, streaming through the chapel’s open sides and creating that dreamy, romantic atmosphere that photographers dream about. Capturing Catherine and Reuben’s joy throughout the day was an absolute pleasure, as their happiness radiated through every moment.
As someone who regularly photographs weddings at this stunning venue, I’ve discovered all the perfect spots and lighting opportunities that make The Chandelier of Gruene truly special. The venue offers multiple picturesque locations for portraits, from the iconic chapel entrance to the romantic outdoor grounds. My favorite time to capture couples here is during the “golden hour” just before sunset, when the Texas Hill Country light creates a magical glow through the chapel’s open sides.
