If I were to be completely honest, motherhood is a complicated thing.

Motherhood is a lot about trust and sacrifice and hope.

Motherhood is full of many unknowns and factors beyond our control.

Motherhood is a journey on a long and winding path to an unknown destination.

We must trust that things are going well with the little one growing inside us.

We must trust that the baby will arrive safely.

We must trust that we will some how make it through the delivery.

We sacrifice our bodies and allow them to becomes a vessel to make another life possible. And this, this is a beautiful thing.

 Motherhood is the hope that the journey will be full of grace in this time of unknown and waiting.

It was such an honor to capture Krystal’s maternity session in a raw and intimate way full of emotion and joy.

We went into the session together hoping to capture the joy of the day and the anticipation of what the rest of the journey will bring.

Motherhood. It’s a complicated thing.
