It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing this post. I have become very close with the Loza family over the last 10 months. I can’t imagine the pain they have in their hearts or the words to express to them how sorry I am.

Honestly, when Sarah contacted me with the desire to donate a session to a family I had ambivalent feelings about it. We sat down and talked and she shared with me that having these images of Ambriel has helped her more than she could have ever known.

“I feel everyone deserves to have these first moments captured of their babies and donating this session in my daughter’s name will help her memory live on through others.” – Sarah Loza

These are the heartfelt words written by Ambriel’s mother, Sarah.

“This little girl was my husband and I’s dream come true. She had eyes that could pierce through you soul and a laugh that was contagious. I always knew that Ambriel would change my life, but I didn’t know just how much.

I only held her in my arms for 10 short months, but I will always hold her in my heart. She had a way of letting you know everything was going to be okay, even if it was just that look and her smile.

Before she went to be my Angel she was learning to walk, learning to say hello and bye bye. She was the smartest little girl I knew. I couldn’t take enough pictures of her, and I knew I never could take enough.

I found Amy Odom while I was still pregnant with my Angel. I instantly fell in love with her pictures and now I know why. She captured the beauty of my big pregnant belly, then she captured the first pictures I had taken of Ambriel. Words cannot describe the pictures she took, they were fantastic! She then went on to take her 3 month and first Christmas pictures. Amy became family, and always will be. She loved my Ambriel just as we loved her and still do.”

“God saw you getting tired

And a cure was not to be

So he put his arms around you

And whispered ‘Come with me’

With tearful eyes we watched you

And saw you pass away

And although we love you dearly

We could not make you stay

A golden heart stopped beating

Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best”
