An Elegant Summer Wedding at The Weinberg at Wixon Valley

Jackie and Bret finally had their day! Their wedding plans were derailed and put on hold an entire year like so many others in 2020! These two lovely people are from California and had their dream California meets Texas wedding at The Weinberg at Wixon Valley in College Station. The venue is breathtaking with its majestic barn, vineyards, and clear blue water surrounding the property. There was rain in the forecast and it rolled in and rolled right back out just in time for portraits and their ceremony. And, to make their day feel like home in California we had some late afternoon portrait time in the vineyard. Jackie had a second beautiful bridal look that we took advantage of. We were both obsessed with the back and that big incredible bow!

How They Met.

They met on a modern-day dating app and agreed to a day date in San Francisco. Jackie dropped pins to her cousin in Texas throughout the day to keep track of her just in case! But, they were inseparable from their very first date.

The Proposal.

Bret proposed to Jackie at the Taj Mahal. When they had their first date on 6/4/2016, she told him that she would only say yes to a proposal if it were at the Taj Mahal. They laughed, Jackie said it was only half true! Way to go, Bret!  They have since celebrated a monthiversary every month on the 4th since that first date. And, Bret proposed at the Taj Mahal on 11/4/19, their monthiversary.
