Savana and Casey’s love story is a beautiful testament to fate and connection. They met in Tuscaloosa at Savana’s college house. Casey was fresh out of the military and Savana was a Junior at the University of Alabama. Their journey together culminated in a vibrant, colorful spring wedding day at Camp Lucy in March, reflecting their joyful, fun-loving, relaxed personalities.

Pre-Wedding Preparations

At Camp Lucy, the bridal suite and groom’s preparation area are designed with both comfort and elegance in mind, providing a perfect start to the wedding day. The bridal suite is a luxurious space adorned with vintage furnishings, soft lighting, and large mirrors, creating a serene and beautiful environment for the bride and her party to prepare. The suite features ample space for hair and makeup stations, a cozy seating area for relaxation. The groom’s preparation area, known as the groom’s suite, exudes a rustic charm that complements the venue’s overall aesthetic. It’s a stylish and comfortable space with plush seating, a well-stocked mini-bar, and a variety of entertainment options to keep the nerves at bay.

The morning preparations are a blend of excitement and anticipation. As the sun rises over the Hill Country, the bridal suite buzzes with activity. Savana and her bridal party started their day with a light breakfast and mimosas, setting a festive tone. The ceremony took place in the romantic and moody Ian’s Chapel, a hallmark of Camp Lucy. Ian’s Chapel, with its rich wooden beams, stained glass windows, and enchanting atmosphere, provided a stunning and intimate setting for Savana and Casey’s vows. It was the perfect spot for timeless photos.

Inside and outside the chapel, the space was beautifully adorned with florals by Disch Events, adding an extra touch of elegance and romance. The floral arrangements featured a vibrant mix of spring blooms, perfectly complementing the colorful theme of the wedding.

As guests took their seats inside the chapel, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The ceremony began with the soft strains of live music from the string quartet, creating a magical atmosphere. Casey, standing at the altar looked both excited and emotional as he awaited his bride.

Savana made her grand entrance, walking down the aisle arm-in-arm with her father. The sight of Savana in her stunning gown, with the chapel’s ethereal light filtering through the stained glass, was a moment to remember. As she reached the altar, her father gave her one last loving look before entrusting her to Casey.

The ceremony was filled with many heartfelt moments. Savana’s uncle officiated the ceremony, sharing touching words, personal stories, and jokes that resonated with everyone present.

Disch Events outdid themselves, hanging lush floral arrangements from the ceiling that cascaded gracefully over the tables. The floral installations created a dreamy, garden-like ambiance indoors, making guests feel as though they were dining under a canopy of flowers. Soft candlelight flickered, adding a warm and intimate glow to the setting.

The reception kicked off with heartfelt and tear-jerking speeches, one of the most memorable being from Savana’s sisters. Their touching words and shared memories brought tears to many eyes, highlighting the deep bond of family.

As the night drew to a close, Savana and Casey shared a private last dance. This intimate moment allowed them to reflect on the day and savor a quiet, romantic dance together. The grand finale of the evening was a spectacular sparkler exit. It was a magical and fitting end to an unforgettable day.
