A Tuscany Meets Texas Wedding

Meagan and Colby had a beautiful spring wedding at The Lodge at Country Inn Cottages in Fredericksburg, Texas. These two are from Houston and transformed this Texas venue into a Tuscan dream. There was rain in the forecast leading up to the wedding and expected the day of. But, it was a perfect day filled with sunshine and blue skies!

How They Met.

This country music singer met her cowboy on Bumble. They had a wine date that lasted three hours and lots of great conversation. Colby said he knew Meagan was the one on their first date.

The Proposal.

“We went to Argentina on a two-week trip. My friends suspected he would propose, but he gave no clues, and I decided that this wasn’t the time. It was just a fun trip and I completely dropped all hope and presumptions. We went hiking in Patagonia on Valentine’s Day – it was a 14-mile hike to a lake. We got to the lake and had a picnic, took some photos, and then I was ready to leave – getting cold and late. Colby made me wander around for the “perfect photo spot” to avoid other hikers and work up the courage to pop the question. I was getting mad at him and wanted to go back. He completely surprised me and dropped down to one knee. I cried all over him and was in complete shock. We had some random hikers take our photos and I floated down the mountain.” – Meagan

Meagan’s Family owns El Bolillo Bakery in Houston, Texas and made their stunning custom wedding cakes.

Meagan and her dad stole the show at the reception with their entertaining and perfectly choreographed father-daughter dance. I love this image of Colby looking on with so much joy at his new wife!
