A Summer Wedding at Silo and Oak

Michaela and Aaron

Temple, Texas Wedding Photographer

Silo and Oak Wedding Michaela and Aaron had an intimate summer wedding at Silo and Oak. Silo and Oak is a quaint Temple wedding venue nestled under the big old oak trees. A perfect setting to say their “I dos.”

It was a typical steamy Texas summer day in July. Their family and friends joined them from all over to celebrate their best day ever. They married in the cozy white chapel with a beautiful view of nature through the window behind them. They entertained their guests with an intimate sit-down dinner catered by the fabulous Pignettis. There was no shortage of good wine, great conversations, thoughtful toasts, and lots of laughter.

The ended the evening dancing the night away. It was truly special.

How They Met

Michaela and Aaron met in Grad School at Baylor University in Waco. Michaela was a semester into her program when she met Aaron. And Aaron had just moved to Texas to begin his Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Michaela offered to give Aaron the grand tour of Waco. Their first date consisted of a trip to the infamous suspension bridge, the farmers market, and a local coffee shop. They hit it off so well that they met up later the same night with friends for a night of Karaoke.

They officially started dating in January 2020. A little over a year into dating, Aaron asked Michaela’s father for permission to marry his daughter.

The Proposal

On May 21, 2021, Aaron and Michaela met at a local coffee shop and headed over to Baylor’s campus. On the way, Aaron reminisced to Michaela about his experiences coming to Texas and how grateful he was to have had her by his side. Aaron walked Michaela over to a particularly scenic spot where their married friends were waiting with a camera. Michaela recalls it being a very quick proposal. “Aaron was so nervous, and he said something like, Michaela, I love you. Will you be my forever?”  After that there were some tears and giddy laughter.

So, Michaela began a job in marketing in the Portland area and Aaron is finishing his clinical training in the same area. They planned a beautiful wedding in just three short months.

Michaela and Aaron, thank you for the joy of celebrating and capturing your day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Here are just a few of my many favorite memories from your day.
