Artyom and Ashley were married at the beautiful Mattie’s in Austin, Texas in an elegant black-tie wedding. Tucked away on the outskirts of Austin, Mattie’s wedding venue is the perfect location for a spring black-tie wedding.
Ashley and Ari met in 2019 shortly after Ari moved to Houston for his new job. Their first date was at a local bar/speakeasy called Anvil. Artyom, also known as Ari Alexander is a sports anchor and reporter for Channel 2 in Houston, Texas.
The two of them took a trip to Santorini, Greece. During the trip, they planned a photo shoot to remember the trip. To Ashley’s surprise, Ari proposed during the session.
Although Ari and Ashley are living in Houston, they decided to have a destination wedding in Austin. Mattie’s in Austin was the perfect setting for their romantic spring wedding.
Ashley wore an elegant satin ball-gown accessorized with her grandmother’s Cartier diamond earrings and necklace. She carried an elegant traditional all-white round bouquet.
The bridesmaids wore long, summer bridesmaid dresses in champagne and carried all-white bouquets to complement Ashley’s bridal look.
Ari wore a navy custom suit and Maison Christian Louboutin iconic slip-on Dandelion loafers in a glossy, smooth black patent leather.
To keep with the elegant black-tie wedding theme, they chose a neutral color pallet of white, ivory, and pops of greenery. The ceremony took place under the oak trees on Mattie’s lawn. A string quartet was playing music throughout the guest’s entry into the ceremony and throughout the cocktail hour. During the ceremony, the couple stood in front of a magnificent white floral arch magically created by the team at Bouquets of Austin.
Ashley and Ari incorporated some of the Jewish customs from his heritage to include the breaking of the glass at the end of the ceremony and the Hora during the reception.
Guests did not have to go far for cocktail hour on the adjacent lawn. The guests grazed on passed appetizers and the signature drink, watermelon margaritas on the rocks.
Their sit-down dinner was held under the clear tent, which was decorated with lavish amounts of candlelight on long communal tables and hanging greenery garlands.
The toasts were given during dinner and Ari’s brother, Alex, definitely gave the best Best Man speech I’ve ever heard! It had just the right amount of thoughtfulness and crowd-inducing laughter.
After dinner, guests then entered Marion Hall to dance the night away. Their reception at Mattie’s Green Pastures was a lively party. Ari’s friend flew in from Arizona to DJ the event and he kept the dance floor on fire. The dance party came to life when the light-up cowboy hats came out!
Ashley changed into a second custom dress for the reception. A fabulous short dress of silk and lace. She finished her look with tall white Lucchese boots for a cowgirl chic and timeless flair.
The evening ended with a romantic private last dance and a bubble exit!
There were so many beautiful details that made their day special! Here are some of my favorite images from the day!
