This is the story of Nick and Amelia’s luxury Lakeway Resort and Spa Wedding.

The Proposal

Nick proposed to Amelia outside of the Stella Hotel in College Station after dinner at the Campfire restaurant. There is a sweet little pond outside with a surrounding deck that they took a little stroll around. After sitting on the bench and talking for a while, Amelia quickly realized what was going on. Suddenly, she heard the shutter of a camera get closer and closer, and before she knew it, Nick was on grabbing a ring box out of his boot!

A Romantic Hill Country Wedding Venue

Nick and Amelia planned a dream wedding at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with a wedding reception at the Lakeway Resort & Spa on the scenic Lake Travis. They envisioned a Texas Hill Country getaway for their family and friends with modern conveniences like a boutique full-service spa, pool area, and a hot tub. Lakeway resort and spa is a beautiful lakeside resort. It was the ideal location and best wedding venue near downtown Austin with lakeside wedding style and plenty of amenities for their wedding guests to have a great time. The resort boasts room for intimate rehearsal dinners, elegant ballrooms, and plenty of square feet of space to accommodate a large wedding reception.

The Wedding Day

Nick and Amelia stayed in the guest rooms the night before and Amelia and her ladies had plenty of space to prepare for the wedding in the bridal ready room of the main hotel.

The Wedding Ceremony

Nick and Amelia are deeply passionate about their faith and it was important for them to marry in the Catholic Church. They said their vows on a beautiful sunny day in October at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church in West Lake Hills. Texas. The church itself is a stunning architectural masterpiece, with soaring ceilings, stained glass windows, and ornate altar pieces. The ceremony was filled with meaningful traditions and rituals. Nick and Amelia exchanged their vows and made promises to love and support each other surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends.

After the ceremony, we captured many of the wedding photos on the front lawn of the picturesque church.

Cocktail Hour at Lakeway Resort and Spa

Upon arriving at the resort, guests were greeted by the grand entrance and beautiful gardens. Cocktail hour took place on the wrap-around outdoor terraces with breathtaking panoramic lake views. Guests spent the hour enjoying the spectacular views while engaging in conversation, sipping champagne, and nibbling on a selection of chef-prepared hors d’oeuvres.

Lakeway Resort and Spa Wedding Reception

The reception took place in the grand Vistas Ballroom, which features floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of Lake Travis. The ballroom was elegantly decorated with lush florals by Native Bloom Floral, soft lighting, and a dance floor that was perfect for the newlyweds’ first dance.

The bride and groom had an evening of dinner, toasts, great conversations, and lots of dancing. As the evening comes to a close, the bride and groom made a grand exit under a shower of sparklers and cheering friends. The couple conveniently spent their wedding night at the resort before leaving the next morning for a dreamy honeymoon!
