A Soft and Romantic Wedding in Shades of Mauve + Navy at Hayes Hollow at Hidden Falls

I didn’t meet Jordan in person until her bridal session two weeks before the wedding. I instantly fell in love with her. She greeted me with a big hug and a friendly smile, and I knew I struck gold with her. Philip is no different. They are warm and welcoming and instantly make you feel welcome and included.

The incredible couple had a dreamy Hayes Hollow at Hidden Falls wedding in Spring Branch, Texas. It was a warm and sunny fall day, and it couldn’t have been more perfect!

How They Met

Philip was a counselor at the FISH camp Jordan attended at Texas A&M in 2009. They became Facebook friends and never said a word to each other until the summer of 2015 when Philip sent Jordan a Facebook message asking to reconnect, and if I wanted to go on a date.

Their First Date

Their first date was August 12, 2015, and we have pretty much been together ever since. Jordan was living in the Woodlands near Houston, and Philip drove in from College Station for their date. They planned to go to an upscale bar and restaurant, but it was full, and they didn’t want to wait. They ended up at California Pizza kitchen instead and had a great time over dinner. After dinner went to Marble Slab and got some ice cream. Philip took her home, and they made plans to see each other again the following weekend.

The Proposal

” We always celebrate our monthly anniversaries on the 12th of every month. It helps us stay intentional in dating each other. For our seven month anniversary, Philip planned a wine tasting at a local winery in College Station where he was living at the time. After the tasting, Philip told me that he wanted to check out the vines. We walked towards a gazebo in the vineyard at sunset, and Philip proposed at the gazebo. — Apparently instead of yes! I screamed shut up!! – I had no idea he was going to propose then. He had some friends hiding to take some pictures, which are pretty funny to see. — After the proposal we had a nice dinner at the winery, then we went to a party with all of our friends and family (something I had said I always wanted).” – Jordan
