Leah and Tom met in college, fell in love, said “I do” and were whisked away to Fort Hood, Texas where Leah is a dentist serving in the US Army. Soon thereafter, they were expecting a baby boy. Leah contacted me several months prior to Henry’s arrival and we made all the plans to capture his first few days of life.

Leah loves soft, gender-neutral colors and simple timeless images. Together, we decided on a classic color assortment of cream and muted gray with delicate organic textures against his sensitive skin.

Henry made his grand entrance a week after his due date. We teased that he was just too comfortable inside of his mama. Needless to say, I was super excited to get the email from Leah that he was here!

The soft scent of lavender was diffusing in the air as the sun poured into the studio. Everything was ready to meet brand-new little Henry. It was an unusually warm day in early December and we were gathered together to soak up his perfection and document it forever.

Henry made my job easy! He snuggled down on the blankets and fell into a deep sleep up until it was time to take pictures with mama and daddy. He remained calm and peaceful but was most certainly keeping an eye on me and what I was doing 🙂
