Austin Wedding Photographer captures stunning spring engagement photos in Dallas
There’s something absolutely magical about spring engagement sessions in Dallas, and Courtney and Nick’s recent photo shoot perfectly captured why this season and location combination is so beloved by couples. As a Dallas engagement photographer based in Austin who frequently travels for sessions, I was thrilled to spend the day with these two lovebirds exploring both the natural beauty of the Dallas Arboretum band the urban charm of downtown Dallas.
Dallas Arboretum: A Spring Paradise for Engagement Photos
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden in spring is nothing short of breathtaking. During Courtney and Nick’s session, we were surrounded by vibrant blooms that created the most romantic, colorful backdrop for their engagement photos. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect – spring at the arboretum means:
- Azalea blooms in stunning pinks, whites, and purples
- Tulip displays that rival any botanical garden in the country
- Cherry blossoms creating dreamy, soft pink canopies

The variety of gardens within the arboretum allowed us to capture completely different looks and moods throughout our time there. From intimate moments among the azalea trails to playful shots in the tulip beds, every corner offered something new and beautiful.

After soaking in all the natural beauty at the arboretum, we headed downtown to showcase Dallas’s stunning urban landscape. The contrast between the soft, romantic garden photos and the bold, architectural shots downtown created the perfect variety for Courtney and Nick’s engagement gallery.
