A Classic Woodbine Mansion Wedding

I’ve been waiting two years for Gaby and Jacob’s classic Woodbine Mansion wedding. Originally postponed a year due to the global pandemic these two adventurous, outdoorsy, romantic, fun-loving, foody, gardening, dog people finally had their day! It was a dream wedding!

The Woodbine Mansion is owned and operated by Becky Levin Navarro who also owns Pearl Events Austin.  Pearl Events provides event planning services that are uniquely designed to each couple. I love their Motto: “like a pearl, each event is singular, special and always fashionable.”

 

Their Story

Gaby and Jacob met at the University if Mississippi at Oxford through mutual friends. They had their first date at a sushi restaurant in downtown Oxford. They both admit they were so nervous that they can’t recall of the food was good…lol! Less than a month later it was clear they had serious interest in each other, and the rest is history.

Jacob proposed to Gaby in Madrid, Spain at the Sabatini Gardens at the Royal Palace. It just so happened; an accordionist was playing Ave Maria in the Sabatini Gardens. Gaby’s family live in Caracas, Venezuela and were on the trip with them. Just before the proposal Jacob was able to personally ask Gaby’s father for her hand in marriage. That was the icing on the cake for Gaby!

 

Their Woodbine Mansion Wedding

The day started with the buzz in the bridal suite as Gaby and her girls got ready together in the breathtaking bridal suite at Woodbine Mansion. Later in the day, Jacob and his boys arrived, and you could hear the excitement across the hall as they all got ready to begin the festivities.

 

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of the trellis on the side of the mansion. It’s a beautiful backdrop with the house behind them. In the spring, the wisteria blooms and drips from the trellis. The ceremony was emotional and joyful.

 

The Reception

The reception was held outdoors on the lawn on the other side of the mansion. Al fresco dining, romantic twinkle-lights, and great music made the evening magical.

After the toasts and dinner, everyone danced the night away under the stars. Does it get any better than that?! NOPE!
