A Classic Fort Worth Botanic Garden Wedding.

I first met Becca on a coffee date outside a quaint little coffee shop in downtown Austin. I instantly loved her and hoped she’d choose me to photograph her wedding. Needless to say, I was so excited when she contacted me with a YES!!!

As most 2020 weddings have gone, Becca and Chris were faced with some last-minute changes due to COVID and put together a plan B. They moved their wedding from an indoor country club to an outdoor space and had a classic Fort Worth Botanic Garden wedding. They married among their closest family and friends in an intimate ceremony in the Japanese garden. I’d say plan B was pretty perfect!

These two met in college through mutual friends. They liked each other for YEARS before they finally connected a few years after graduation.

Their First Date.

Becca visited Chris in Houston, and they went to an outdoor bar called The Boot. They ordered a crawfish boil and a bucket of Dos Equis to share. According to Becca, it was the best date because their hands were constantly busy with the crawfish, so you couldn’t tell we were shaking from nerves!

The Proposal.

Chris proposed on the lawn of the state capitol after we had a nice dinner. Becca suspected something was up because Chris kept checking his watch during dinner, and he never does that! Becca casually joked, “Do you have a big proposal planned after this or something?” But she was totally kidding! As it turns out, he did. This story was one of my favorite parts of their ceremony when the Pastor shared this story.  After he proposed on one knee, they got a ride to Peche, where their closest friends were waiting for them to celebrate.

Becca and Chris, thank you for the pleasure of getting to know you, celebrate with you, and document your wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together!
