The heavy rainfall over the weekend left me scrambling to reschedule a load of outdoor sessions.

So, with some time on my hands I decided to work on mastering my creativity genius.

What? How do creative geniuses come up with great ideas, writings, painting, photographs? They work and write and paint and take photographs through will and perseverance.

They show up day in and day out.

I strongly believe we all have a creative genius inside of us. The only way to find it is to work on it.

For me that means reaching in my camera bag every day and photographing something…anything. I try looking at it differently through angles, lighting, composition, from above or below.

Day after day, photograph after photograph I work on my craft.

Sometimes I create something good. Sometimes I create something I’m not proud of. But, this is the price you have to pay to create something excellent.

If you want to create a masterpiece, you need to be willing to create garbage along the way.
