This little beauty belongs to a very good friend of mine.

Ironically, we meet during the birth of her last baby girl two years ago. At that time, I was not her photographer, but her labor nurse.

We hit it off and quickly became friends.

I was blessed to witness and share the birth of her first baby girl, Bellamy, and later photographer her which can be viewed here and here.

This time, I was fortunate to be there again and share a small piece of her first few days earth side in the hospital.

Meet Everly Snow…nine days new, and the best early Christmas present.

According to her mama she’s a nursing champion and the best snuggle bug. ” I love being her mom.”

She has the cutest little arms and back rolls that will quickly get filled out from her mama’s milk.

As the last planned baby for this family, her mama is feeling a bit melancholy with the birth of Miss Everly.

“I’m entering a long list of “lasts” and I’m trying to be excited about the phase in our family’s life. It’s a bittersweet time, giving up one way of life for another. But, I have the most beautiful humans to do it with. “

Motherhood is community. Often it can feel lonely and overwhelming.

The days can feel short and the nights never ending.

It’s also magical and the early years are fleeting.
