I first met Danielle over a FaceTime conversation, chatting about all things wedding photography. We hit it off instantly and have chatted almost weekly for the last 7 months.
Danielle and Matt were married on October 12th in a romantic private ranch wedding. The ranch belongs to Matt’s family. What a gorgeous place! Twenty-two hundred acres complete with a chapel on the property. It’s a tradition to get married in the chapel, and Matt told Danielle he only had three requests for the wedding. He would not wear a tux, no marriage during hunting season, and he had to get married on the property 🙂 The day could not have been more perfect.
I love when my couples choose places and details that have special meaning to them. Matt wore a charm on his boutonniere with a picture of his mom. It was a special gift given to him by Danielle…cue the tears.
“We met at a dive bar in Houston called Exit 73. It’s a “last ditch effort bar,” basically the last bar someone goes to try to find someone to take home. HAHA. We both were forced to go to this bar one night. While at the bar we had a mutual friend that introduced us, and we both had a mission to find a way to get each other’s number. The following week Matt asked me to go to “Local Pour” for our first date or to “get drinks.”
“On September 15, 2017 we went to “Local Pour” in The Woodlands, TX. We met there and then we ended sitting at dinner for 4 hours talking. While at dinner Matt asked me if I would like to go to his family’s ranch the next day and I was a bit nervous, and it was something I had never done, but I said yes. Then we decided to go out to a country bar and meet up with some of Matt’s friends.”
He took me Del Frisco’s, and when they brought the dessert plate out it was covered with rose shaped strawberries, chocolate hearts, had a ring pop in the middle, and said “Will you marry me?” on the plate. ” – Danielle
